J'ai été reçu par le propriétaire des lieux qui avec gentillesse m'a fait visiter entièrement tout le complexe. C'est un endroit où il fait bon passer des vacances surtout pour les amoureux de la pêche aux gros. Principalement pêche à la carpe. L'endroit est accueillant et reposant. Le propriétaire est vraiment sympathique, je suis certain que vous y ferez un très bon séjour.

This fishery is top notch.

Comptons lakes is an absolute gem of a carp angling venue.
The fish, lake and the surrounding land are simply impeccable.

The lake is set in beautiful surroundings and the wildlife is in abundance.

The lake owners are truly nice people who from the word go are helpful and welcoming.

I spent half an hour with Mark (the owner) float fishing Harry's lake and the little common and mirror carp were tiny bits of perfection and the look on Marks face to have these fish was a joy to behold.

I caught my pb here (44.8lb) and Mark celebrated with the four of us by bringing a beer down for us all.

In all we had 42 carp out between us and all of the fish were absolutely spotless with some having never been caught before with most being in the mid twenty to thirty lb range.

This was my first angling trip to France and the bar has been set sky high if I choose to fish another venue in France.

I will be returning to Comptons lakes, hopefully in the autumn (2021) to see the change in season.

I can't recommend Comptons lakes highly enough.

Well had my lastest trip to Comptons lake in late April 2018 and boy oh boy..... You know when you hit things just rite, well i did .... Got to the airport to be picked up by Mark the lake owner the weather was great and i thought the fishing might be a bit slow but i could not have been further from the truth. Day one i think 16 fish came out and it never really slowed down after 3 days had to reel in and have a good nights kip something i have never done before.... then the big boys started showing up from 38lb upto a glorious high of 45lb of which Mark had told me a spot to try for a big un , well my hand was still on the bobbin when it was pulled from my grasp..... great fishing great food going back soon what more can i say. I’ve been fishing Comptons lakes for the past 5 years and the place is simply stunning, I’ve fished other venues in France and will always return to this one it’s simply fantastic and holds some very special memories, from the moment you arrive and have a walk round the lakes with Mark (the owner) who offers advice on known spots and bait to use you simply couldn’t be in better hands, as for the food package it’ll blow your socks off Leannes cooking is absolutely bloody brilliant and having your food delivered to your swim is great meaning you don’t have to reel in giving you a better chance of catching that carp of a lifetime, if your still unsure about booking a weeks session on Comptons Lakes call me.
