Peu connu des touristes français. ||Situé dans un village proche du Gers, magnifique abbaye. Nous avions réservé pour des amis qui nous ont avoué être resté un peu sur leur faim. ||En ce mois de mars la fraîcheur leur a été fatale, ils sont rentrés chez eux enrhumés.||Les horaires de travail des propriétaires sont…..irréguliers, Ils vous répondront après 16.00.||Calme garanti, des propositions d'activités à réaliser dans la région. Un petit restaurant sympathique juste à coté. ||Il vaut quand même mieux parler anglais.

Long summer evenings spent in the country garden as the sun paints a pink sky on it's departure.. Could life seem anymore idyllic? Bonne la Vie is set in a quaint village that has welcoming Aux Pyrenees beauty. Mark and Sholu as hosts could not be more obliging, and the house itself echoes a grand former life. The rooms are large and outfitted in country style but with modern amenities. The view from each room frames a different vista of the village, and mornings and evenings are punctuated with the Abbey bells ringing out. ||||Bonne la Vie is close to both Tarbes and the mountains and provides a perfect 'getaway' for a weekend, or a relaxing week. It is perfect as a 'wellbeing escape' as there is space for pursuits such as running, biking, hill walking, and even equestrian.||||I would recommend it to singles, couples and families, and I look forward to renewing my acquaintence with this ' heaven on earth' next year.

A wonderfully warm welcome from Mark and Sholu to their grand village house, which they are gradually and lovingly restoring. The rooms are beautifully decorated, merging a traditional french style with asian cushions, tapestries and artefacts brought back from their travels. Mark is an excellent chef and in October it was warm enough to eat lunch in the garden.||||The style of the guest house is very friendly, this will not be for you if you prefer impersonal hotels. Most rooms are not en suite but some are -- we did not have our own bathroom, but the shared facilities were fine and scrupulously clean. We did have a suite, sitting room and bedroom, at the back of the house overlooking the large garden and the Arros valley beyond.||||The location is at the foot of the pyrenees and could not be more beautiful. We were accompanied by our 17-year old daughter, and for her it was perhaps a little far from distractions, but fortunately Mark and Sholu's own daughter was there, and the two girls amused each other. For us as a couple who wanted to chill the location was perfect, peaceful, beautiful, with good walking and running routes, and with the village bistro down the road for a hearty, delicious and inexpensive lunch, as well as daily fresh bread.||||Could not recommend this more highly, and the owners tell us it is particularly popular with french guests -- so if you don't want to be surrounded by other brits, it is definitely for you.

Wir waren das zweite Mal bei Mark und Sholu in Saint Sever de Rustan, einem kleinen idyllischen Dorf mit mittelalterlicher Abtei im Pyrenaenvorland. Diesmal hatten wir das blaue Zimmer, dessen Fenster direkt auf den den nach Rosen, Rosmarin und Lavendel duftenden Garten hinausgingen. Genau das Richtige, um den Stress des Alltags zu vergessen: Ausruhen und Lesen im Garten oder am Fluss, gemuetliches Fruehstueck (Brot, Croissants, Kaese, Schinken, Marmelade, Mueslis, Fruechte), Spaziergaenge oder Wanderungen in die naehere Umgebung, Ausfluege zu den lokalen Maerkten: Bummeln und dem Markttreiben von einem der zahlreichen Cafes aus zusehen. Und Ausfluege in die spektakulaere Bergwelt der Pyrenaen. Am Abend dann ein klassisches Konzert in der Abtei und den Tag bei Wein und einem mediterranen Essen (Mark kocht gerne und sehr gut) ausklingen lassen.||Ausserdem konnten wir einerseits unser Englisch erweitern, andererseits spricht Sholu ausser Englisch und Franzoesisch auch Deutsch, so dass die Verstaendigung reibungslos klappte. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Loved it loved it loved it! Mark and Sholu are amazing, entertaining and caring hosts. Went bike riding, ate in the back garden, drank in the back garden, went jogging in the amazing hills surrounding the area, was perfect. Ideal for relaxing esp after stressful city life! Heartily recommend it!
