Have been meaning to try this local place out for a long long time! What a little gem! It is run by one lady, who appears to cook everything from scratch, therefore, be prepared to wait as we waited 20 minutes for our takeaway for 2.

We ordered:
1. Spicy beef noodle soup
2. Dry noodle with lemongrass beef and grilled pork (paid extra for the extra portion of meat)
3. Spring rolls

Spicy beef noodle soup. Beef was extremely tender, slightly pink, just the way we like it. The soup was tasty, spicy without being too hot, so one can still taste the fragrance of the soup. As a take away, the portion of noodles is separated to the soup which means you don’t get soggy noodles when you get home. You will need a big bowl to combine them as the portion size is rather generous!

Lemongrass beef and grilled pork vermicelli. The grilled pork was extremely tasty and delicious. Lemongrass beef was slightly over cooked and less tasty on its own when compare to the pork. However, when combined with the fish sauce and vermicelli, it tasted great. The dish came with the usual crushed peanuts, sliced carrot, lettuce and cucumber, all of which were very fresh. There were also some stir fry pepper in there which was a nice touch.

Spring rolls. Freshly fried and tasty, served with delicious fish sauce.

We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely purchase from here again. The lady speaks simple English but we ordered with no problems pointing to the menu she produced. As she said there was a 20 minute wait, we simply popped across the road to do some grocery shopping before coming back to collect our order.

Chúng tôi đã gọi:
1. Súp mì bò cay
2. Mì khô với thịt bò sả và thịt lợn nướng (trả thêm tiền cho phần thịt thêm)
3. Chả giò

Súp mì bò cay. Thịt bò cực kỳ mềm, hơi hồng, đúng kiểu chúng tôi thích. Súp ngon, cay mà không quá cay, vì vậy bạn vẫn có thể cảm nhận được hương thơm của súp. Khi mang về, phần mì được tách riêng với súp, nghĩa là bạn sẽ không bị nhão mì khi mang về nhà. Bạn sẽ cần một cái bát lớn để trộn chúng vì khẩu phần khá nhiều!

Bún bò sả và thịt lợn nướng. Thịt lợn nướng cực kỳ ngon và hấp dẫn. Thịt bò sả hơi chín quá và không ngon bằng thịt lợn. Tuy nhiên, khi kết hợp với nước mắm và bún, nó có vị rất tuyệt. Món ăn đi kèm với đậu phộng giã nhỏ, cà rốt thái lát, rau diếp và dưa chuột, tất cả đều rất tươi. Ngoài ra còn có một ít hạt tiêu xào trong đó, một điểm nhấn tuyệt vời.

Chả giò. Vừa chiên vừa ngon, ăn kèm với nước mắm ngon tuyệt.

Chúng tôi thực sự thích bữa ăn của mình và chắc chắn sẽ mua lại ở đây. Người phụ nữ nói tiếng Anh đơn giản nhưng chúng tôi đã gọi món mà không gặp vấn đề gì khi chỉ vào thực đơn mà cô ấy đưa ra. Vì cô ấy nói rằng phải đợi 20 phút, chúng tôi chỉ cần chạy qua đường để mua một số đồ tạp hóa trước khi quay lại lấy đơn hàng của mình.

The bun bo hue just hits the spot. The ginger added gives it a unique fragrance. Sitting in the quiet shop, with the owner cooking away in the kitchen at the back... It was such a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the noodles.

Hieu Nguyen

As a Vietnamese, I must say I was blown away by this place!!! Yes, the wait can be a bit long since it’s just the owner working by herself, but the food is absolutely worth it. Everything we got (Bun Bo Hue, grilled pork spring rolls and lemongrass shrimp vermicelli). Cash only. There’s a park across the street with tables that you can eat at (but she also has two small tables in the shop). Highly recommended!!!

True authentic little gem ! If you are looking for some handmade traditional Vietnamese dishes by auntie go no further than here. Nice aroma and flavourful ! Highly recommend. Take away only and cash only

The shop has foldable seats where you can choose to eat in. The lady said there were no bowls so it was served in a takeaway container which was fine. The broth was tasty where you can taste the shrimp paste and lemon grass. There is a sweetness to the broth which I enjoyed. I would like to try the non spicy version next time and would visit again.

For anyone that would like to visit, it is a cash only place.

This is the best Bun Bo Hue in London so far. I got a lot of well-cooked beef with great soup. The grilled-pork rice is also nice. I strongly recommend this place! 🙂

Amazing, hearty food with a simple, best bang for the buck menu from the sweetest auntie! Also serves the best Bun Bo Hue in London, as authentic as the ones you can eat in Hue!

I think there is a lot of good thing to be said about unpretencious scrans like this. It everything was fresh and done with care. Nothing was too spicy or over seasoned.

You might well have to wait a while but it was certainly worth it and I feel better for having had it. Enjoy.
