She is so kind and patient, and really takes the time to recognize the needs of her students, and to prepare lessons that are both comprehensible for learners yet still challenging. She helped give me the confidence and tools I need to speak French, a language I have now learned to love and explore, and my progress was quite impressive, thanks to Fleur. I have been taking online lessons with Fleur for approximately 7 months now. She is such a dynamic teacher, who has a structure for each lesson but will allow you to drift off at a tangent if relevant. She will always bring you back to the main focus of the lesson, which is the sign of a great teacher. I wish my school teachers could have been as good as her! She has given me confidence to meet challenges head on. This is something I've shied away from for the past 20 years visiting France. I could survive with asking for things but really couldn't engage in conversations and would run away! Fleur has taught me the values of good structure, grammar and pronunciation and on a trip to Lille, I managed to hold my own in conversation for a short period of time with hotel reception staff believing I was French! To me that was a major achievement, as historically people have sensed difficulty and switched into English! Whilst in Lille, I also engaged in conversation with a vendor over a broken coffee machine and a waiter about the quality of the food at a restaurant. These are meaningful real life situations for me and the feedback from others has given me inspiration to keep learning and developing. Fleur has the patience of a saint, although I'm sure I will test this to the limit. Elle est la meilleure!

Taking private French classes with Fleur has been an incredibly rewarding experience. She is genuinely friendly, patient, and kind, which makes each lesson enjoyable, comfortable, and fun. I especially appreciated our discussions on the cultural and daily life differences between France and the Netherlands, my home country, as well as on French literature.
Fleur tailored each class to my specific needs, making the learning process feel both personal and relevant. I initially started with three sessions per week, then switched to twice a week with double sessions. Fleur’s flexibility with scheduling made it easy to fit classes into my routine. Because each session is private and personalized, I was always practicing at the right (challenging) level. When a topic felt too easy, Fleur seamlessly increased the difficulty, and when something was more challenging, she adapted her explanations or adjusted the lesson to ensure it was both understandable and effective. This approach truly optimized my learning and progress.
Pronunciation was the most challenging aspect for me, and I valued Fleur’s perfect blend of strictness and patience as she guided me through it. Her encouragement and constructive feedback consistently boosted my confidence and allowed me to progress steadily. When I began, I was barely able to speak, but now I feel confident enough to handle job interviews and engage in complex discussions in French.
Overall, I highly recommend Fleur’s private lessons to anyone looking to improve their French or tackle specific language challenges. Her personalized approach, adaptable teaching style, and flexible scheduling make learning both effective and enjoyable - and the confidence I have gained has been invaluable!

Fleur is an amazing teacher, she always prepares the lessons before. She is really dynamic, friendly and her French pronunciation is amazing. All the lessons are so comprehensive, writing, speaking, listening and reading.
