Je suis au pair avec cultural care depuis deux mois et cette agence est vraiment top, on est bien accompagnés que ce soit avant de partir ou une fois sur place et elle propose de nombreuses activités pour découvrir les États Unis et découvrir de nouvelles personnes !

I‘m currently an Au Pair in the US with cultural care. Cultural Care prepares you for your upcoming trip to the US, helps you with any questions you might have and gives you confidence that you can do it! Because you talk to so many former Au Pairs and can ask them any questions, so you also feel very prepared. I love being in the US and connected great with my Host Family. I have no regrets doing the Au Pair program with cultural care!

I would not recommend cultural care to host families and Au Pairs!
Once they changed to the app I was not able to get into my account and all my information was gone! I was in contact with them for a month and didn’t help!
Also when an Au Pair goes to rematch they now don’t share the hostfamilies full reason and information and the Au Pair can look for a new family! Even when safety, disrespectful, trust and kindness towards the kids was the issue!

Cultural care is THE WORST. Dropped the ball every step of the way. Our au pair went home to visit and decided she wanted to go back, and she didn't tell us, told our LCC, who without even discussing with us filed for a rematch (no chance to mediate or anything like the procedure should be), who left to hang out with her boyfriend in Vegas before going home. We found out after getting an automated email about rematch. We assumed it was a mistake as no one had talked to us, and our au pair had agreed we would all finish out her year together. The LCC knew she did not intend to rematch (the au pair told this to us herself) but somehow the agency was ok with paying for her flight home but not giving us a refund. I wish this was the only issue that we had but it's been a mess from beginning to end. Communication has been awful, our LCC very unhelpful when we reached out. To make matters worse, we are switching agencies, but had JUST exceeded the rule of 60% of the contract was taken when our au pair left, so they denied us a refund. Our au pair is coming from the new agency in 2 months. What were we supposed to do with that? $2200 left on the table and we have to find coverage last minute. I'm planning on telling everyone I know to not choose cultural care, because they are absolutely not looking out for host families best interest and are no support. If you have no issues I'm sure it's fine, but if anything pops up (which happens!) then you can look forward to no support at all. I'm sad because I believe in the au pair program and think we can still have a good experience, but it's been awful so far. Hoping for a better journey with Au Pair in America.

I’ve been trying to contact [email protected] since September 1, 2024 about a confirmed $5,750.00 refund that they owe me. No one has replied to emails I’ve sent.

I’ve met some wonderful au pairs and employees of cultural care, but their core infrastructure as a company is awful. I don’t have personal experience with other au pair companies but if I were to do this again, I’d look for other recommendations.

Absolute train wreck of a company. They switched over their systems and all of our information broke. They stopped taking credit card payments and now will only accept cash or check, which is insane.
