Nous sommes venus avec notre petit bébé de 2 mois et tout a été fait pour que nous soyons le plus a l'aise possible. Nos hôtes ont été d'une remarquable gentillesse et extrêmement serviable. Allant même jusqu'à bois offrir une autre chambre que celle réservée pour que bois soyons plus a l'aise avec le bébé. |Le site est exceptionnel, la literie très confortable et le petit déjeuner vraiment bon. |Je recommande les yeux fermés à toutes personnes voulant un point dattache non loin du canal du Midi.

C'est la vie de château quoi !

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend’s stay at Chateau de Thuriès – not long enough! The beautiful chateau, with its five guest suites, has been elegantly, tastefully and luxuriously restored by its owners, Jayne and Steve. The public rooms have a gentle, calming beauty, and the guest suites have been decorated, each with its own particular character, to the highest level. We stayed in the Nature Suite, which overlooks the garden, verdant with trees and shrubs. The suite itself is spacious and thematically decorated, and includes many photographs of butterflies, taken by Steve himself. Jayne’s eye for detail in interior design is evident throughout.||Jayne and Steve themselves, along with Alfie the dog, were the most welcoming of hosts, and the general ambience of the Chateau is one of homeliness, comfort and unpretentious good taste. We are a couple in our sixties celebrating a birthday and we loved everything about the chateau, but the romantic setting would equally suit a wedding, a honeymoon, an anniversary celebration, or simply a getaway-from-it-all break. ||When Jayne and Steve said ‘Make yourselves at home’ when we arrived, they really meant it, and they did everything in their power to make sure we felt at home. Their local knowledge resulted in three fantastic recommendations for restaurants, and hints for a scenic route to Carcassonne. They are charming people and very good company, and we left feeling that we had made friends, and we will certainly be returning at the first possible opportunity! Thank you, Jayne and Steve.

My second visit to celebrate my birthday at this beautiful Chateau. Once again welcomed by the most generous, lovely hosts Jayne and Steve. My friend and I had the ultimate privilege of staying in the master suite with a four poster bed draped with white curtains, comfortable, elegant and beautifully styled. A party was held for family, friends and neighbors on the Saturday with live music which just put the icing on the cake! This amazing couple have thoughtfully renovated with passion and style keeping the history of the Chateau in mind that it is ultimately a wonderful home. See you again next year! We visited at the end of July for 5 nights. Jayne and Steve were so helpful on email before we got there, particularly as lockdown, travel to France and quarantine hadn't long been lifted.||Flew to Toulouse via Ryanair, which wasn't too bad though wearing a face mask at the airport and on the flight was a new experience. Picked up a hire car and drove to the Chateau which took just under an hour, sat nav took us straight there so was very easy to find.||Jayne & Steve were there to greet us with a hug and a smile. Chateau is stunning, even better than on the TV and website! Rooms lovingly restored by them both but also very tasteful and comfortable. We stayed in the Master Suite, which comprises of 3 large rooms including a bathroom. Big comfortable bed with lovely bedding and huge windows looking out over their grounds. We had a fabulous time and Jayne and Steve were just wonderful hosts (including finding restaurants, booking them and when our car broke down, being a taxi service). ||Breakfast was in the beautiful Dining Room lovingly prepared by Jayne - fresh coffee, juice, pastries, selection of local breads, yoghurt, fruit, meats and eggs.||We can't exclude Alfie the Border Collie - throwing his ball and frisbee for him made it feel even more like a home from home.||Congratulations Jayne & Steve on what you've achieved we had a wonderful break and were sad to leave, we will be back.

Jayne and Steve are excellent hosts with a wonderful sense of humour and superb taste, as the decor and quality of the rooms demonstrate. Walk around the grounds with Steve, his knowledge of the wildlife is absolutely fascinating. The rooms are gorgeous and Jayne has to be congratulated on her designs. Really looking forward to coming back for another stay. Thanks from Sue and Pete
