We recently stayed at “The Quay” in Red Wharf Bay. This apartment is almost on the beautiful beach. The Quay has four double bedrooms, and a very spacious living/dining/kitchen area.It is a quiet area, with only a 5 minute walk to a choice of 2 very good pub/restaurants. I would recommend this, and also I will probably return. I must mention that 2 of the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, and 2 on the ground floor, the dining/living area is also upstairs (1st floor).

Excellent location |Sadly let down by the management booking company as it was filthy and is dire need of a deep clean ||Total absence of customer service||They will delete your comments if they don’t like what they hear and will call you a liar when you send photos ||Below is the email I sent and also the reply I received ||This property is in a fantastic place it’s let down by the letting company that manage the property||We booked through booking .com and everything was fine, we arrived at the property to find mouldy foods left over from previous guests and mouldy items in the welcome pack as well as a dish washer full of mouldy plates||We did report this but by the time they replied I had cleaned the fridge and sorted the dishes as we had brought food of our own that needed to be kept chilled||I did inform them that we had cleaned this and was thanked for my understanding||The property was riddled with cobwebs and spiders nests everywhere in every room and in the kitchen cupboards we found pots and pans with spiders eggs in them||It wasn’t till the last day when left and where stripping beds we found earwigs crawling out of the pillows and then looked under the bed to see how disgusting the floor was||We under stand the property is pet friendly but the sofas stink of wet dog according to the welcome pack it states if you have dogs you should provide covers for your pets||Once we returned home I emailed my complaint|And received a very dismissive response stating that we had accepted the state of the dish washer and as we had only reported the issues after we had left they where refuting our accusations and that they have recently inspected the property and haven’t found any problems that we have stated||I since have emailed the photos and videos we took and the response was simply thanks they will pass them on to the house keeping||I have also written reviews on the Facebook and booking.com pages and they have been removed|From reading other comments this seems to be a common practice rather than addressing the issues they hide them||The reply ||Dear …||Many thanks for taking the time to email us. Naturally, we're sorry to hear|that you were unhappy with the cleanliness at the property. We have a|dedicated housekeeping and maintenance team that are on hand to help and|could have been there very quickly to help you had you agreed for this.|Sometimes items are missed and whilst we're very sorry for that, we do need|guests to work with us at the time to ensure that these matters are|resolved quickly during your stay. Had you not been satisfied with the|outcome from the housekeeping/maintenance team's visit, we also could have|moved you to an alternative property. We would never want a guest to stay|at the property if they are not happy but unfortunately, as we were not|made aware of your concerns, we were not able to help on this occasion,|which is a shame as we're confident we could have helped with the items you|have since noted to us.||I have spoken with Helen who was working on Saturday and she informs me|that you were offered to return to help which you did not want. I'm sure|you can appreciate that sometimes things do go wrong and for that reason we|have steps in place to be able to help you. We believe our terms of|conditions are very clear in terms of complaints. For ease of reference I|include them below:||*Please do call immediately if there is anything that does not meet your|expectations. We would be sorry not to be able to sort anything out quickly|and to the satisfaction of all guests, and thus it is essential any issues|are reported whilst the Guest is in residence at the cottage.*||*We will not deal with any complaints made after the holiday. We like to|see evidence of any issues encountered and be allowed the opportunity to|put things right, which cannot happen after you leave**.*||You commented that you chose the property for it's reviews and I must say|that this is the first complaint we have received for Buttercup. Whilst I|appreciate that issues can arise, we do refute your comments in relation to|the property as we have recently inspected the cottage and did not find|your findings to be in line with ours I'm afraid.||Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with feedback. Stayed at a rental in Rosneiger. Run down and the bedding was disgusting. It wasn’t until I stripped the beds as requested when leaving, that I saw the colour of the pillows and duvets. The Company emailed the owner, who couldn’t have cared less. Had to follow-up the complaint after 2 weeks. B and H had not visited the cottage all season and wouldn’t until the winter months to inspect. Too late to have made a difference to us. How the owner could let the bedding get into such a state, I can’t imagine. Won’t use them again.

Great weekend break at Custom Mews, Beaumaris 13-16/9/24. The property is immaculately clean and very well appointed with comfy double beds (ground floor) and crisp fresh linen, lots of towels, great kitchen with extras (coffee machine and pods, milk frother, bag of ice in freezer, some condiments and spices). 1st floor Lounge is a lovely open plan space, TV and Alexa free to use and linked to Netflix/Spotify already, wi-fi easy to connect to using QR code, Hive system easy to operate but the cottage is warm and cosy anyway. Custom Mews is very well located one street back from the front and a short walk to Beaumaris centre and all its pubs restaurants and amenities, the bakery is on the next street corner and highly recommended but try and get there before lunch as its very popular. The only points to mention are that the showers are a little on the 'snug' side and the turning staircase may challenge the less mobile but we loved staying here and would definitely recommend. The Bolt Holes and Hideaway staff went above and beyond when we needed them in regards to a couple of small issues that are no reflection on the property and a lovely staff member even came to the cottage (out of hours) to assist - excellent service ? and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again to book any future holidays in Anglesey.

I contacted this company a few weeks ago asking for help in finding a holiday cottage as the Web site says use the search and filters to tailor your cottage to your needs, there were no filter option on there hence I emailed them, didn't even receive a reply, poor customer service!

We have just returned from a week's stay at Gamdda Fawr, one of the more recent properties for rental. This is a spacious property, beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished with a fully-equipped kitchen. There is a further fridge and freezer available in the laundry, along with use of the washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board (if you can be bothered!). The house was very clean and beds invitingly made up ready for use. We spent most of our time in the conservatory as this was lovely early morning and evenings and saw the resident red squirrel from here.
Recommended things to do: Sunday lunch at Tavern on the Bay, Red Wharf Bay (10 mins away), lovely views and lovely food, Dylan's at Menai Bridge is also worth a meal, great food, great views and great atmosphere, Portmeirion Village (free in the afternoon, if you have lunch at Castell Deudraeth first), Ribride, Menai Bridge to Puffin Island - great fun, even for this old bird! Ffestiniog Railway - steam train ride from Caernarfon to Beddgelert. Even if you don't take the steam train, Beddgelert is a beautiful village in the foothills of Snowdonia, another train ride up Snowdonia, from 10th June, this is also by steam engine.
We found the locals to be incredibly friendly and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this property and the area and are already planning our return visit.

Absolutely amazing stay here for a family birthday weekend. Gorgeous play to stay , very spacious and the rooms were lovely. Lovely views as well from our rooms. Would definitely recommend and would go back again.
