We had the best of times at our stay. From the booking to the time there, communication and quick responses from Amanda and the Team was excellent. The home itself was wonderful. Very spacious, well appointed and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens beautiful. The big yard, fire table, hot tub and sauna were used daily. We will definitely return to this wonderful accommodation!

The perfect suite! Great location, walking distance to downtown and hiking trails. Safe and secure property. The suite is super cozy and felt like home, really spacious and very well laid out. Fully stocked with everything you could need, the full laundry room was really nice to have! The king size bed and the couch were very comfotable. And the hosts were always quick to respond and help with anything needed. Highly recommend!

The place was nice.
Beautiful views, amazing drive(if you like twisties), it accommodated 6 adults comfortably, had dishes and utensils, and comfy beds. The amenities were almost enough for us(we had to buy toilet paper on the second day), but everything else was pretty much thought of. I loved the multi level decks. The outdoor space in general was very desirable, but it's in need of a freshening up/good cleaning, the interior also is in need up some freshening up. I'd have gone with 5 stars but we had to clean the floors, vacuum the furniture, and overall needed a tidy up upon our arrival. The microwave didn't work, quite a number of light switches also didn't work, and I was quite surprised to find fly traps hanging over the table
Given the hefty cleaning fee, I expected the cottage to be clean and was disappointed in the initial presentation. The host's very quick to reply to any questions I had and we had all the cleaning supplies we needed, so that was good.

The Oxford house was perfect for our family. It was impeccably clean and had absolutely everything to make your stay perfect.

Just a couple of blocks to kids playground/park, and just a few blocks to Knox Mtn. trails. Quiet, walkable neighbourhood, no issues with street parking & close to Water St/downtown areas.

For little children: there are stairs that go down to closed off area so we moved a large ottoman in front for safety. We suggested a gate but that would be the owners decision to install.

100% would stay here again.

We found the house to be as attractive and welcoming as the listing photos. Linens, towels toiletry all excellent. Nicely fitted kitchen and appliances, we put together a large meal with the patio bbq and only had to bring in groceries! Comfortable all around, mechanical and plumbing systems operate well and feel well maintained. We were five adults for 3 nights, very comfortable with four bedrooms and lots of space to enjoy our stay. The basement tenant was present but discrete, a well-planned renovation with a separate small patio for that suite. The large main patio was private for our use, with direct access to a small side yard as well. We would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay here. Communication was clear and prompt through booking and leading up to our arrival. The house was spotless when we arrived. We arrived earlier than we expected and the cleaning team graciously let us wait in the gazebo on site, and were very warm and welcoming to boot.

The house is comfortable and well appointed. Great beds, sheets, towels etc. The kitchen has just about everything a home chef could ask for, and lots of options for coffee/tea. Only consideration is that there is no cooking oil, but that’s standard for most vacation rentals these days. A wise vacationer brings their own basics if they plan on cooking!

The location was wonderful, a friendly and safe community. It was just a ten minute walk to a beach, and a 20 minute walk to get downtown.

Check out process is smooth with minimal work to do (taking out the trash, running the dishwasher, and starting the laundry on towels is, again, standard in most vacation rentals).

We had a wonderful visit and can’t wait to stay here again!

Working with How to Host was an amazing experience. We rented an airbnb and it was our first time going through a separate hosting service. I primarily talked with Amanda and she promptly answered every email I sent! I was super impressed with the level of service and it helped make our stay much more manageable as we were a group of 10 women and we had a lot of questions. Amanda was polite, professional and excellent at her job.
