Everybody at AG salon are accomodating and polite. It was a very pleasant experience. I didn't know tip has to be 18% but Eddie was still grateful and appreciative. The place is like MGM Las Vegas theme-classy, fancy and dainty. Come and experience a top rated high class salon experince. You will definitely recommend it to your amigas.

I've noticed a lot of reviews praising this place. The impressive ratings and the beautiful interior design had me hooked. Although the people there were indeed incredibly kind and accommodating, I can't, in good conscience, sugarcoat my experiences even if I really wanted to.

This is my first time getting a balayage. I expressed that I had never dyed my hair until then. I went in wearing a sweater. Note that I can wear sweaters in California heat just fine because I am used to it.

COST AND TIME: It took around 5 hours to do my hair (bleach, balayage, wash, style) and the cost was approximately $250.

NO AC/AIR CIRCULATION: First off, this is the only salon I have ever been in that did not have any fans, running air, or AC at all. It was around 100 degrees Fahrenheit around the afternoon, the salon was on the 2nd floor (closer to the sun), and the inner interior mainly consisted of gold and black (keeps in heat).

In the middle of bleaching my hair, it got so unbearably hot that I almost passed out (the tin foil for bleaching my hair added on heat and there was no cooling system in the hair salon). I only managed to barely gather my bearings due to the employees getting a portable fan and another paper fan to cool me off. Please note that I have lived in California all my life and wore all kinds of sweaters and shirts, yet I have never nearly passed out from the heat in a salon considering all past salons I have been to had some kind of cooling system.

The gold plating and black leather all look beautiful, but to have no AC in this California heat is admittedly shocking. Again, I have worn sweaters in California weather before, but the salon was like that of an insulator or heated oven, which was why I almost passed out in the first place.

OKAY RESULTS: I showed an image of what I wanted. The stylist, although kind, showed me a purple that I found to deviate too much from the purplish hair color I wanted. I DID express my concerns, but I was reassured that yes, they had the right color. Considering that I never had a balayage before and I am no professional, I entrusted the stylist to be able to handle my hair however they saw best. Trusting the process only resulted in results that, although okay, were admittedly subpar at best.

1 CONCERN(S): Another thing to note that I found strange is that I was under the assumption salons are required to do patch testing (test the hair dye on the skin to check for any allergic reactions), yet they didn't. Rather, they never asked if I was allergic to anything. Considering I had told them that this was my very first time, the fact I could have had an allergic reaction is concerning. I luckily do not have any allergies, but if I were anyone else, I can't be so sure for them.

WAS IT WORTH IT?: I consulted with my family members and many of them, who have dyed and styled their hair for many years, thought I had done this on my own. They thought that although it was a good enough attempt considering it was my first try. No, I paid around $250 for this hair-do and was told that this looked like it could be done for $60 at most. Many were also shocked to find that it took 5 hours to do my hair when it would take half of that time to do hair that was thicker and longer than mine at other places.

Overall, I can't say that I can recommend this place. It really hurts to admit that this place doesn't meet my standards, especially considering the astounding reviews and ratings here. I genuinely do wish everyone over there the very best, I truly do because they're all genuine sweethearts, but I just can't say that this salon is any good at all. Best wishes to them, and I'm sorry for the critical review.

First time visit at this salon with my sister. She highly recommend there service. Now I see why. If you want a high quality cut and color, this is the place. You'll feel like royalty. They put a robe on you for your haircut, offer you refreshments and friendly stylist. All their stylist do amazing work and use the high quality of products. Leaving your hair all soft and looking amazing, not like other places over process and dry. They do appointments only using their app. Mens haircuts as well. Will definitely be returning , they gained a new satisfied customer.

Took my 11-year-old niece for a cut & style & her stylist did a fabulous job. She was so happy with her cut. The salon is beautifully decorated & staff is absolutely wonderful. Definitely would recommend them & they offer so many services outside of hair. Definitely would recommend asking about all the services they offer. Thank you AG Salon for making my niece so happy!!

First timer! I'm so happy I came and met Eddie. He cut my hair exactly how I wanted it he knew the look I was going for! I haven't cut my hair in 2 years because I don't let just anyone cut my hair because it doesn't grow. I've gone to people that cut it to short. He did an amazing JOB. LOVE LOVE new customer.
